  1. IMPORTANT! Please note that the event will start 1 HOUR LATER, so the first map (Stalingrad) will be online at 21.30 CEST (21.30 Italian time)! MAP 1 (Stalingrad) from 21.30 on MAP 2 (Night) from approx. 23.00 on Server name: ACES HIGH Server SRS radio address: 79.9.2.47 (you can talk with everybody at login, and with your faction only after you pick a side and spawn in the plane) As requested you will fly RED tonight, and in Map2 you have priority to use the PO-2. Another group (IRRE) was also interested to fly the PO-2 missions, i told them you have "priority" but they might come as reinforcement or second wave.. please coordinate with them directly in-game via chat or via SRS radio. Thank you, and see you tonight !
  2. Hello again, guys, thanks for all your feedbacks, we took them in considerations in order to optimize the map (both this night one and the previous one we tested earlier). We would like to invite you to our next event, a dual-map night on Thursday 29th (next week), here is the invitation: PILOTS! we are announcing a new test night on the "ACES HIGH by Gemini" server on Thursday 29th (NEXT week). Testing targets for this event are: - final check on these first two maps (bugs remove, layout adjusted after your feedbacks etc.) - check correct server behavior at map change/map start - check server load under max population (82ppl) - check correct behavior of SRS radio --> address will be confirmed before the event - have lots of fun! Squadron, please fulfill the online form to confirm you participation, your preferences and to have slots reserved, at this link: https://forms.gle/3CoM24QqGavW5MJLA For questions you can refer to me (=GEMINI= IngegnerTommy) here note: in case you have a different no. of pilots between mission 1 and mission 2 (because you are joining both as squadron, but not with all pilots in both) please leave "0" and add in the note something like: - Mission 1: 6 confirmed, 3 additional - Mission 2: 8 confirmed, 5 additional
  3. Thanks to the all pilots of your squadron joining last night. The testing was extremely useful to verify the (successful) dynamics of the map, and we already identify the root cause of all the issues at mission starts (basically too many events happening at the same exact time in small areas of the map, we now know how to fix that). I hope despite the initial hiccup you were able to enjoy the event and the map, and we would be very happy to hear your feedback about: - map and layout (AF, distances, targets) - night flying experience - map items (searchlight, radio beacon, flak etc) - performance issues, bugs etc. - suggestions for this map or for the sever in general Thank you!
  4. So, the majority of the information are the ones provided in my previous post, when joining the server you can choose your own target and perform 1 or more sorties in the way you prefer, the suggestion would be to try to fly as bomber / attacker + escort on one of the targets. For allies, targets are: -search and destroy german HQ (really few aa, expressely made for "Night witches" Po2) --> please leave this (hidden) target to the Po-2 players, this will be mostly IRRE team -destroy Novorossiysk fuel depot -destroy Novorossiysk stronghold -destroy german shore Novorossiysk fortifications -destroy Anapa advanced airfield -destroy northern fortifications Here a more detail view of the targets around Novorossiysk port, where we expect the most "heat" of the action: There will be no pre-mission audio briefing, but when you enter the map you can coordinate optionally with the rest of RED team using: - in-game chat - SRS --> address for SRS is 79.9.2.47 and is set as Faction-only (you will talk with RED players only) Please consider coordination with other team/players as "optional", as we're trying to test random actions and not pre-assigned ones on the server. Please red the notes from my previous post and the information you fill find on the map in-game for navigation, searchlights etc. Please note the map is still in testing so there might be some issues such as slow-down or bugs, if you find issues, please take note and report it after the event, this helps a lot with map development. Expected squadrons on Red side should be you (10-12x), GEMINI (8-9x) and IRRE (11-12x), plus additional player than might join "on the go" from the public. Thank you again for joining, let me know if you have more questions, and have fun!
  5. Hi! I see most of you voted for "Indiferente". If possible I would ask you to fly RED (Russian) toghether with GEMINI and IRRE. Is that okay? Let me know then if you prefer to fly bombers/attacker , or fighters, or a mix. Thanks!
  6. MAP INFORMATION: -Spawning airports for both sides have bonfires showing the taxi directions and electrical lights lightning the runway (except Po2 airport). The electrical lights will automatically shutdown when no allied plane is in a 10km range from them, and start when they will spot allied planes approaching. -All across the map there are searchlights that will automatically start searching for planes when you are in their range. On targets the searchlights will search only for enemy planes, while on the other parts of the front can randomly trigger and start pointing also to allied planes (without firing at them) to acknowledge who is flying over them. -Night navigation is made easier thanks to an extensive radio beacon system: not only they guide you across the map, but if you click with your mouse over the black arrows on the map they will show you route and ETA at the given speed ALLIED radio beacons: AXIS RADIO BEACONS: -To simulate the fighter radar guide we put a big number of radar stations across the map over the frontline, the targets and the bigger cities (we tried not to exceed with their number to avoid a saturation of pop up messages in the technical chat). -To simulate also the long range radar capability, these radars work for both factions on both the side of the front. Sadly due to the editor limitations they will only say how many planes are passing over them and when they are passing, and no altitude or direction will be shown. -Note on radio comms/SRS: even though we are interested and willing to implement SRS radio on our server in the long term, for this test there will be still no SRS; we encourage coordination in general but for this night we are testing the map dinamics also for random players, so squadron are asked to choose freely their own the mission profile / target and decide if having a basic coordination on in-game chat or not as they wish. PLANESET (PROVISIONAL) AXIS (Germany) · Bombers / Attackers: o HE111 H16 o JU888 o HS129 o JU52 o JU82 Stuka · Fighters: o BF109 G2/G4 o FW190 A3/A5 o BF110 E2/G2 ALLIED (Russia) · Bombers / Attackers: o A20 o Pe2-87 series o Il2 1942/43 (no 43mm pod) o Po-2 · Fighters: o Spitfire MkV o P39 o P40 o Mig3 o Yak 1b/7b/9/9t Sorry for the spam! 😅
  7. Mission briefing for Thursday is ready, i just need to understand how to send it to you (it's a PDF file), please anyway let me know: 1) how many pilots are confirmed and how many extra might join 2) preferred faction 3) preferred mission role Thanks
  8. Great! So far we have 7 squadrons registered and we expect between 40 and 55 pilots at the server roll, then we might open to public or not. I'll shortly post those extra info for you
  9. Thanks for the interest guys, many squadrons are interested so I think it will be a fun night with a new experience. Don't worry we have several cool feature to help navigation and finding the action without losing immersion (no GPS!). I will share more details today or tomorrow about the mission and preparation, in the meantime please let us know how many are interested to join so i can save you enough spots! Thanks, =GEMINI= IngegnerTommy
  10. Thanks for the great coordination with us GEMINI and Red Flight last night, was a cool flight! =GEMINI= IngegnerTommy
