April 1, 2007 ? Originally planned to be solely released for consoles and handheld platforms, the upcoming next-gen game being developed in-house by LucasArts, The Force Unleashed, has been confirmed by LucasArts to be released on PC shortly after its console version release in Q2 of 2008. This unexpected move has been reportedly due to extreme fan demand for a PC version. ?Originally the game was only going to be developed [by LucasArts] for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. But after enormous cry for a PC version, we have decided to begin development on the PC version of Force Unleashed,? said LucasArts President Jim Ward. When asked about euphoria and Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) being implemented on the PC, he responded, ?While I don?t know all the technical specifications, it is my understanding that both euphoria and DMM will be able to run smoothly on the PC by 2008.? ?The game will be nearly identical on the PC to its console counterparts,? Ward reassured. ?All PC games have their differences such as controls and this one is no different.? Yo creo que más que a la gran demenda del público por una versión para PC, Lucasarts se ha visto obligada a sacar una versión de PC ante el temor de que el nuevo título sea un fracaso, como todos los títulos de Lucasarts que han salido sólo para Xbox o Ps2. (por ejemplo el revenge of the sith) y es que los fans de Star Wars somos roleros, y los mejores juegos de rol siempre se jugarán mejor en PC Polémicas aparte hubiese sido escandaloso el que sacaran una versión para nintendo DS y no para PC <_< Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
