Pero si tanto el consorcio Eurofighter como la compañía Dassault pertenecen al mismo grupo, al fin y al cabo es como una riña entre hermanos Salu2!! Nosotros ibamos a hacer el Rafale con los Franceses pero aquello no duró ni una ronda de negociaciones al ver la tremenda desigualdad de carga de trabajo entre Dassault y CASA, así que se replanteó la estrategia y llegamos justo a tiempo para el nacimiento de Eurofighter GmBH, donde a pesar del 13% teniamos cargas de responsabilidad importantes en diseño y no sólo "apretando tornillos" Saludos!! Defense World Net, India Wed, Jan 25, 2012 09:11 CET Oman has become the latest addition in the Middle East to express its interest in acquiring the Eurofighter Typhoon. The Government of Oman has requested BAE Systems to submit a formal bid for the supply of the fighter aircraft. Delivery of the first aircrafts is expected to take place in 36 months, according to a BAE Systems spokesperson. This statement comes after Saudi Arabia, the Middle East’s first Typhoon customer, announced last month that they had made amendments to ‘Project Salaam’ and, are now expecting 72 fighter jets and not 24 as originally requested. The United Arab Emirates also made a shocking move in November, 2011 during the Dubai Air Show when it expressed its interest in the Eurofighter. This shift came after France’s long running campaign to sell up to 60 Dassault Rafales to the UAE reportedly stalled over price negotiations. The Eurofighter is steadily becoming the most coveted fighter aircraft among governments. Earlier this week, the Eurofighter was chosen as the fighter aircraft to keep the skies clear during the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. A clear indication that the strike fighter is growing in strength, as well as numbers, including recent order book now totals 707 Eurofighter aircrafts. The four partner nations of the Eurofighter program have ordered 620 aircrafts: 180 for Germany, 121 for Italy, 87 for Spain and 232 for the UK. Austria placed an order of 15 aircrafts; the first two were delivered in July 2007. In addition, Eurofighter has come tantalizingly close to winning a large contract for 126 plus options for 72 fighters in India. It has been shortlisted along with Dassa Saludos! El otro día hablando con uno de BAES me comentó que el contrato de los Hawk iba a ser "express" y firmarse en unos meses, y al final se alargó 7 años... En fin, pacencia. Porque se suponía que las Paveway con el Damocles estaban correctamente integradas y funcionales. Se suponía que estaban utilizando las AASM casi como arma estandar y con buenos resultados (por lo menos eso he leido en algunos sitios) Del uso del SCALP, ni idea. Dassault Aviation will now enter final negotiations before any deal is signed for supplying India with 126 Rafale aircraft. Correspondents say this is one of the world's biggest defence deals and is a major setback for rival bidder, the Eurofighter Typhoon. Eurofighter lost out in December on an $8bn deal to supply jets to Japan. Officials at the British High Commission in Delhi said they were disappointed with the decision and would now study the details. A statement read: "It was expressly said this was about the cost of the contract, not a reflection on the health of bilateral relations between India and the countries." The officials said they "genuinely believed the [Eurofighter] Typhoon offered the best capability now and in the future". They also said it was "not beyond imagination" that India might decide the Rafale was not the right option as it continued the process. Todavía no está todo perdido. En cuanto a la decisión de Japón, tampoco es una sorpresa del todo, pero desde luego es un impulso a la carrera de ventas del "gordito" frente a sus rivales. Lo que desconocía era el historial de hostias que tiene el Rafale en el mercado internacional.
