Buenas,

Dear Everyone,
We are excited to announce to the community our first project, the CASA C-101 "Aviojet".
The CASA C-101 Aviojet is an advanced jet trainer and light attack aircraft, entering service with the Spanish AF in 1980.The C-101 was also operated by the Air Forces of Chile, Jordan and Honduras. Through many years of service, the Aviojet has proved itself as a reliable aircraft, being an excellent platform for training and aerobatic flight, and is used by the premier aerobatic team of the Spanish Air Force, the Patrulla Águila.
The team behind the C-101 for DCS World is AvioDev, who are located in Spain and the UK. The team is comprised of 4 members:
Peyvolt : Modeller
Tango : Systems developer
JO : Textures
Alezmad : Technical Advisor
Also you can follow us in our facebook page:
Development on the C-101 was a painstaking task, in order that the models, textures, and systems accurately matched the real aircraft. Thanks to working directly with pilots and technicians of the real aircraft, we are able to bring you an exceptional simulation. At the current time, the aircraft has been developed with SFM and full clickable cockpit, but AFM is planned, and we are currently looking for an AFM devolper to create the flight model for our C-101 project, and possible future projects. If you would be interested in this position, please contact us via PM.
Our C101 project teaser: Recommended to watch it in 1080.

No te habias ido ?

* Hydraulic system manual reversion accurately simulated (WIP)
* Flight controls accurately drain system pressure
PRESSURIZATION/AIR CONDITIONING
* Pressurization schedule accurately modelled
* Pressurization affects oxygen usage
* Incorrect configuration leads to pilot blackout (WIP)

OXYGEN SYSTEM
* Affected by cockpit pressurization
* Accurate usage based upon conditions
* Normal and high flow modelled (WIP)
* Oxygen affected by crew member count (WIP)
NAVIGATION SYSTEM
* VOR, ILS and TACAN accurately modelled

* Each beacon characteristics accurate to their type
* TACAN test mode fully modelled, including failure states
* Terrain masking (WIP)
TARSYN SYSTEM
* Highly accurate start-up/shutdown
* Effects of maneuvering/acceleration introduce errors
* Highly accurate self-erect function with inhibit modes implemented
* Independent vertical and horizontal gyros
* Manual modes fully implemented
ALTIMETER
* Effect of blocked static port (WIP)

* Needle will stick if vibrator failed/no power
BACKUP INSTRUMENTS
* Turn coordinator and slip ball will react correctly on the ground
* Turn coordinator will topple if start-up time not observed
* Attitude indicator errors implemented
FUEL SYSTEM
* Fuel system fully modelled
* Inverted fuel tank simulated and reacts to g and NOT aircraft attitude
* All fuel tanks correct modelled with complete fuel transfer system and auto logic, as well as manual modes

Tango da datos sobre el armamento del C-101

Hi,

Thanks!

Differences-wise, there is more for the pilot to play with in the C-101 in the form of circuit breakers for various equipment, and some additional backup systems, but otherwise there is a very close match between them.
They are both used for similar roles IRL; advanced jet training, advanced weapons training, and are both used by their respective air force aerobatic display teams.
The C-101 has huge range — it can fly over 2000 nm un-refuelled. It was designed to fly to the Canary Islands from mainland Spain without refuelling.
The EB (training version) is used by the Spanish air force for advanced jet training, before students move onto the F-5B.
The CC version (attack version) was used by the Spanish, Chile, Jordan and Honduras air forces in the light attack role. The weapons it can carry are wide and varied, and you may or may not know, it even has an internal weapons bay under the rear seat for even more payload. The CC model can carry weapons up to and including the AGM-65.
The A-36 "Halcón" is one variant of the CC model we are looking at that was operated by the Chilean air force, and includes RADAR for advanced tactical weapons training.
Just an example of the weapons and equipment the C-101CC can carry:
Internal bay:
* Laser designator
* Reconnaissance pod
* Countermeasures systems
* Single 30mm cannon complete with 130 rounds of ammunition
* Twin Browning M3 12.7mm machine gun with 440 rounds of ammunition
Under-wing hard-points:
* BR-250 bombs
* BR-125 bombs
* LAU-10 rocket launchers
* LAU-3A rocket launchers
* AGM-65 Maverick missiles
* AIM-9M Sidewinder
* Sea Eagle air-to-surface anti-ship missile
* Other air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons
By comparison, the Hawk has approximately one quarter the air-to-ground payload capability by mass (T.1). The only air-to-air missile it carries is the AIM-9L (T.1A).
I hope that helps detail the main differences! The CC model is packed with capability, and the DD model gets even more interesting including HOTAS and integrated navigation and mission management computer, but no orders were ever placed.
C-101CC carrying the Sea Eagle:
A-36M+Halc%C3%B3n+armado+con+Sea+Eagle++
If you thought the C-101 was just a light-weight trainer with no capability...
Best regards,
Tango.
