http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=163795

Hello folks, my bad. I made some changes and forgot to tell the radar that it has a locked target when in CCM so it is trying to lock a non-existing contact.

It is fixed here in internal and will be available on the next update.

EDIT: As mentioned these changes are in additional to the 1.5.3 Open Beta 3 changes from last week:
- Added Gun Arm switch, for gun to fire requires Master Arm and Gun Arm
- Added emergency FADEC control (SEC CALC) functionality and logic
- Added emergency throttle (SEC CARB) functionality and logic
- Added PRF based lock limits
- Added enhanced information for locked contacts
- Added jamming detection
- Added contacts symbols movement
- Updated slight modification to Super 530D
- Updated radar display data updated to be correct
- Updated yaw control for better landing control
- Updated control effectiveness in extreme alpha
- Updated pitch control response
- Updated control response in altitude and select altitude autopilot
- Updated spin and emergency FBW mode response
- Updated aerodynamic performance for more accurate behavior
- Updated dynamic stability coefficients for more accurate behavior
- Updated SEC CALC (emergency engine control) logic
- Updated and overhauled engine logic for better dynamic behavior and consistency
- Fixed graphical voids in stick cockpit model
- Fixed various cockpit model errors
- Fixed roll control command not hitting proper roll rate
- Fixed engagement logic for autopilot when overriden by stick
- Fixed slat schedule to prevent oscillatory behavior in some cases
- Fixed controller blending and response during takeoff and landing
- Fixed switch/cover logic for multiple switches/covers

These are the changes that will come for the 1.5.3 stable release:

I think this little table provides a better understanding of the next changes made to the radar: PRF limitations. Doppler filtering limits and RCS based detection are not enabled and depends on ED confirming some data.

radar%20table_zpsx2ldfyku.png

Doppler filter indicates the possiblity that ground clutter is filtered out. At 0% the contact can be masked by the ground.

DEC = Terrain Advoidance. Cannot enable until AG radar is available.

Next Issue is the Lock/unlock, TWS/STT buttons.
No changes have been made yet but they will change.

As of now, the LOCK button now does the following:
1. Locks the target and put the radar in TWS mode.
2. Toggles between TWS and STT modes.

To unlock you will have to use the UNLOCK button.

On next iteration the functionality will be:
1. UNLOCK button will become a LOCK/UNLOCK toggle.
2. LOCK button will become a TWS/STT toggle. It will only work if there is a locked contact.

This way we will better simulate the actual HOTAS button functions.

DCS M-2000 by RAZBAM

  • Added refuel and police light functionality
  • Updated VTB Screen for Jammed Contacts
  • Updated and improved approach autopilot (still work in progress)
  • Updated and increased static force on nose gear shock
  • Updated fuselage aerodynamic effectiveness
  • Updated aw control and vertical stabilizer effectiveness
  • Fixed continuous pitch up behavior after disengaging spin mode command

Dashed lines: Jammer. Red = Strong signal; Yellow = Weak signal, near burnthrough; Green = Burnthrough. You can see the contact again.

Contact icons without data are fakes created by enemy jamming equipment.

BFR (Low PRF): Nearly impervious to notching but highly susceptible to ground returns. Reduced range. Target lock disabled. Contact icons are hollow squares.
ENT (Interleaved, a mix of LPRF and HPRF): Tries to get the best of LPRF and HPRF. Medium range. TWS lock only. Contact icons are "V".
HFR (High PRF): Full doppler radar. Susceptible to notching but not to ground returns. Max range available. STT and TWS locks available. This is the only mode that can guide weapons. Contact icons are "V".

The jamming icons/functionality are WiP and are not final. This was under development when the quake hit. Since it is stable I decided to release it in this patch. Jamming functionality is all WAGuess since nobody will ever publish their radar ECM and ECCM capabilities.

Enemy jamming decreases radar range between 50% to 60%

Attention: Radar antenna movements with a locked target has been improved, but it is not thoroughly tested thanks to the quake. Radar lock loss ratio should decrease. Please inform if that is the case or not.
