DuarthVader
BRISAFRESCA
Quote MicroProse is back! Not only that, we also announce three (yes, three!) titles that will be released under our flag. Find them at www.microprose.com and let us know what you think! This is just the beginning. Are you ready? https://www.facebook.com/MicroProse-106173847468498 Quote MicroProse is officially back in action. Truthful to the spirit of the company we let our games speak for us to tell a story of quality and passion. Today our first three games have been announced: Task Force Admiral, a single-player experience centered on the command of an early Pacific War US Navy carrier task force that puts you in the nerve-wrecking role of the admiral in charge . Second Front, an accessible WWII turn-based tactical game sporting all the depth of a paper wargame and the ease of a computer simulation. Sea Power, a deep modern naval combat warfare simulation that pits Nato and Warsaw Pact against each other in a tense, hide and seek-based, confrontation. From the lead designer of Cold Waters. But these are only the beginning of our comeback. Other announcements will follow, giving shape to our vision for the future of the strategy and simulation genres. Stay with us, MicroProse is back, and we mean business. https://www.microprose.com/news/microprose-is-back Sea Power : Naval Combat in the Missile Age https://www.microprose.com/games/sea-power https://store.steampowered.com/app/1286220/Sea_Power__Naval_Combat_in_the_Missile_Age/ Second Front https://www.microprose.com/games/second-front https://store.steampowered.com/app/1148490/Second_Front/ Task Force Admiral https://www.microprose.com/games/task-force-admiral https://store.steampowered.com/app/1281220/Task_Force_Admiral/ Lo que no me ha gustado es que todo va ser exclusividad de Steam, me hubiera gustado GOG para estar libre de DRM Edited May 5, 2020 by BRISAFRESCA

BRISAFRESCA
Entrevista de Diciembre a los desarrolladores del sea power https://www.reddit.com/r/hoggit/comments/ge9yav/jive_turkey_interview_on_sea_power_four_months_ago/ Quote A fantastic watch. Some things of note: You will have the ability to hop into any vehicle/aircraft/ship and manually control it, or just let the AI do it's thing Cold Waters had a focus on gameplay and simulation before the UI making the UI less than optimal; Sea Power development had heavy emphasis on good UI from the beginning Joysticks supported for flight, M&KB uses a War Thunder-style control scheme Mid 70's to late 80's timeframe; Vietnam, Tanker War and likely Gulf War Game developed to be modular, to easily add campaigns and content Seems like it will encompass the whole Atlantic Ocean, not clear on more than that DYNAMIC CAMPAIGN Intent to ship with at least one high quality campaign; prefers quality over quantity Entire world is modeled; locational textures, seasonal textures, dynamic weather modeling Does not seem to have the ability to allow for user-created missions Optimistically aiming for Christmas launch, will only release once they are satisfied with the quality, not afraid to push the release date back if necessary Possible thanks to being fully self-funded, fully in control of IP "Heavy lifting" in code has been done to a large extent Shows very detailed airfields, aircraft, ships; earlier it was noted that the developer came to an agreement with the Cold Waters IP holder to use those models/assets which has helped immensely Base map resolution is low, but uses smart rules and procedural generation to produce details Only 3 people working on the game; 1 programmer and 2 artists, though the artists help with code Built in Unity Multiplayer not promised; first goal is creating a good game. However, the programmer in the team is a big Multiplayer fan, so it's possible Mod support should (key word should) be similar to Cold Waters, but too early to make hard statements Carrier will have details such as blast deflectors, working elevators, etc, but deck crew not shown/mentioned Russia available for play from launch Effects artist from Cold Waters updating and improving effects for Sea Power Lead Artist is an avid modeler, so he brings that style and passion into the game; weathering on ships/aircraft, small details added Attention to detail on weapon launches; shows an F-14 firing a Sparrow where the missile drops off the rail before igniting the booster PC requirements will be roughly similar to Cold Waters, will require a little better; "mid-low end spec in today's systems" US Navy vs Russian Navy (with some Iranian) in the beginning, with the possibility of the Royal Navy (and others) later if the game does well Closed Beta testers chosen from active community members in the official Discord Aims to be as authentic as possible, but some compromises had to be made for gameplay/playability That's all the important stuff. Note that this interview is from 4 months ago, so some things may have changed or more information may be available through other sources.
